Run or walk with (or without) your dog

This is a celebration of fitness, fun and "fido", whether you walk it or jog it, with a dog or without, this event is nothing but fun.

Set in downtown Waconia, the Dog Day 5K is sure to be one of the highlights of summer for you and your furry friend.  This is a timed 5K so whether you choose to walk it or run, you will know how fast you and your companion like to go.

FAQs-

Q: Can I run without a dog?  Absolutely, we anticipate that half of the participants will be running with a dog.

Q: Can I use a dog stroller?  A: Yes!

Q: Do I need to walk / run with my dog?  A: No, dogs are optional for those who would rather run solo.

The photos from the 2011 Dog Day 5K are posted and ready for viewing.  It was a great day for a run, and everyone (dogs included) looked like they had a great time!

We invite you to look through all of the shots as you will surely find pictures of you and your pooch. All prints are available for sale. We even offer an option that's perfect for Facebook.

As a special feature this year, we made a gallery of our favorite dog portraits.
